The Montgomery County Department of Recreation currently looks to fill part-time seasonal positions for the upcoming summer. The department will host two job fairs on Saturday, April 9 for anyone interested in this opportunity.
The schedule for the fairs, which take place from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at both locations:
- Upper County Community Recreation Center
8201 Emory Grove Road, Gaithersburg - Executive Office Building
101 Monroe Street, Rockville
Anyone interested may schedule an interview online at the county’s recreation website. Candidates who register for an interview will be given priority. In-person interviews will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Interested persons who are unable to attend the job fairs may apply for open positions at the County’s Office of Human Resources website.

Available positions include lifeguards, camp counselors, camp directors, mainstream companions, and many more.
The seasonal pay begins at $15 an hour and may increase based on experience and position. Applicants must be at least 15 years of age. The department is particularly interested in bilingual applicants.
All applicants must successfully pass a criminal background investigation which includes state, federal and sex offender background checks.
