Friday, July 14
“Everyday Every Day” Art Exhibit: Artists & Makers Studios in Rockville is showing “Everyday Every Day” presented by Black Artists of DC and curated by Gia Harewood. The group exhibition focuses on the everyday experiences of Black Americans. The studios are located at 11810 Parklawn Drive, Suite 210.
Calleva Pizza Night at the Farm: Calleva hosts their weekly Pizza Night at the Farm in Dickerson from 5-8 pm. Reserve a table on the Calleva website to enjoy local beers and wines, salads and ice cream. The farm is located at 19120 Martinsburg Rd, Dickerson. Reservations are required.
BlackRock Movie Nights: The BlackRock Center for the Arts screens “SING!” as part of their free Movies Under the Stars series at 8:30 p.m. The center is located in Germantown at 12901 Town Commons Drive.
Saturday, July 15
Peace Day Gathering: The Mattie J.T. Stepanek Foundation hosts a Peace Day Gathering at Piccard Drive in the King Farm neighborhood of Rockville, 10 am-12 pm. There will be entertainment, a moon bounce, face painting, cupcakes and community conversation.
Friendship Greeting Cards: Create two greeting cards at the Davis Library in North Bethesda from 3 to 4:30 p.m. People can come and play around with different colored paper, pencils and stamps to appreciate friendship. The event is free but registration is required.
Parks Playhouse Junior Summer Concert Series: Happenstance Theater presents “Preposterous!” at the Cabin John Amphitheater from 10-11:15 am. The show is a mini clown circus with inspiration from the era of vaudeville traveling shows. Cabin John Regional Park is located at 7400 Tuckerman Lane in Bethesda. Free.
Sunday, July 16
Storytime for Young Children: The Rockville Library is doing their weekly family Storytime. The 30-40 minute stories include diverse books, songs and fun activities. Tickets are required and will be distributed at the Info Desk 30 minutes prior to the program. Rockville Memorial Library is located at 21 Maryland Avenue. Free.
Intuitive Movement for Healing: Soleado Lavender Farm is hosting an Intuitive Movement for Healing class taught and developed by Olga Charapova. Charapova developed this style of movement out of yoga training. Tickets are required. Soleado Lavender Farm is located at 23611 West Harris Road in Dickerson.
NextGen 10.0 Exhibition: VisArts Kaplan Gallery in Rockville is showing NextGen 10.0 until Aug. 13. This exhibition features the work of regional, ages 17-27.
