On Tuesday, a Montgomery County jury also found Toure guilty of second degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and use of a firearm during a felony in the death of Joseph Davis, 28.

He could be sentenced to life plus 20 years.

Montgomery County Police responded to reports of shots fired in the 2000 block of Tree Top Lane, Silver Spring on Dec. 22, 2019. When they arrived, they found Davis lying in the street, still alive but bleeding heavily from three gun shot wounds. He died in the hospital on Dec. 25.

According to court records, the shooting stemmed from a marijuana transaction after which Toure robbed Davis. A confidential informant said he was at a dwelling when Toure arrived and told how he and another man, Damontae Garner, robbed Davis. The informant said he learned Davis jumped on the hood of the car the two men were in after the robbery and demanded his money back.

Garner previously pleaded guilty to armed robbery, gang participation and possessing a firearm. His sentencing is set for May 23.
