
Two kayakers were rescued Thursday evening from Great Falls on the Potomac River according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue (MCFRS).
MCFRS responded around 6:20 p.m. for report of a kayak with two occupants that went over the Maryland Falls. One kayaker was rescued, treated and released by Fairfax Fire. One kayaker was removed by Park Police helicopter with a rescue basket according to officials.
