Olympic gold medal winning swimmer and Bethesda native Katie Ledecky paid a virtual visit to Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. to spread cheer during the holiday season.
“My hometown pediatric hospital, [Children’s National Hospital], has a special place in my heart. I love visiting whenever I can. Today I visited virtually and we played a fun holiday game!” Ledecky said Tuesday on Twitter.
She encouraged people to donate to the hospital.

I was glad to play a small role in that today and in years past. You can support them too. Help give kids at @ChildrensNatl a #reasontobelieve at https://t.co/rKt7AhT0le ❤️
