Kids and Teens Day Out Programs Start Monday Oct. 9

The County Recreation department offers programs for elementary and middle school aged children when school is not in session. The program known as Kids Day Out provides parents of elementary school aged children an option for childcare when the public schools have scheduled days off.

The Teen Days Out program is available for middle school aged children.

The recreation department partners with Montgomery County Public Schools to offer the two programs at no cost to families through the MCPS Out-of-School Time programs. MCPS offers additional out-of-school time programs, which are detailed online here.

The programs take place at various recreation centers beginning Monday, Oct. 9. There is no charge to participate in the program. Registration is required.
