Tuesday morning, the Maryland Department of Health reported 91 new COVID-19 cases in Montgomery County. This brings the cumulative case count to 22,512 since the start of the pandemic.
The county had a rolling seven-day average of 2.46% for positive COVID-19 tests, which is a lower rate than 11 of Maryland’s 24 jurisdictions.
Montgomery County has led the state in coronavirus-related fatalities, adding one more since Monday for a pandemic total of 808. Prince George’s County, however, has recorded over 6,900 more coronavirus cases in total since March.
The state recorded 431 new infections Tuesday, bringing its total to 124,311. Nine new deaths were reported Tuesday morning, making the pandemic death toll 3,802.
Monday the state reported a rolling seven-day average of 2.59% for positive COVID-19 tests.
