Tuesday morning the Maryland Department of Health reported 94 new COVID-19 cases in Montgomery County. That brings the cumulative case count to 21,375 since the start of the pandemic.
The county had a rolling seven-day average of 3.04% for positive COVID-19 tests, which is a lower rate than 14 of Maryland’s 24 jurisdictions.
Montgomery County has led the state in coronavirus-related fatalities, adding one more on Tuesday for a pandemic total of 795. Prince George’s County, however, has logged over 6,500 more cases in total since March.
The state recorded 599 new infections Tuesday, bringing its total to 117,245. Ten new deaths were reported Tuesday, making the pandemic death toll 3,706.
Baltimore City, Baltimore and Montgomery Counties all reported one new death Tuesday. There was no data available for seven deaths.
