Facing the NFC’s top seeded team on the road, The Washington Commanders took advantage of five turnovers to upset the Detroit Lions 45-31.
The Commanders advance to the NFC Championship game for the first time in 33 years. They will play the winner of the Los Angeles Rams at Philadelphia Eagles game on the road next Sunday at 3 p.m.
Rookie Jayden Daniels continued his spectacular play (22-31 for 299 yards, 2 touchdown and no interceptions) and the defense picked off the Lions 4 times returning one for a touchdown. The Commanders had no turnovers for the second straight playoff game.
