A garbage truck driver dumped a load of the vehicle’s trash onto westbound East West Highway, in front of Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School because the load was on fire.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. on Monday. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson Pete Piringer tweeted that the fire was extinguished and there were no injuries.
Some lanes were blocked, but traffic was able to get by the load of trash on the right side, Piringer tweeted.
