The founder and CEO of FlanCake by Gaby relates to the hardships and struggles many immigrant women face in the Latino Community. As an immigrant from Ecuador herself, Gaby Argoti-Fernandez strives to use her flancake business to help those in need.
Ahead of Mother’s Day, Argoti-Fernandez partnered with Iris — a local mother of four who cleans houses and makes pupusas, a popular Salvadoran dish, to make ends meet. The Ecuadorian immigrant will be donating 20% of her flancake sales from orders placed between May 5-12 to help Iris establish her own cleaning business.
