Eric McComas, a DC firefighter who graduated from Blake High School in 2004 and attended Montgomery College, died March 3 and was honored with the Last Alarm Ceremony Friday in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
According to a statement from his family, McComas suffered a medical emergency on March 3.

McComas joined the DC Fire and EMS Department in 2014 and was assigned to Engine 8, the department said on X. He moved to Engine 21 in 2017.
At Blake, McComas was the starting quarterback of the football team. He was also honored on the Bengals’ 10th and 20th anniversary baseball teams.
