The Montgomery County Board of Elections opened 257 poll voter centers around the county for primary election day in Maryland Tuesday.
MCM visited Walter Johnson High School where the doors opened for voters at 7 a.m., but just a few people showed up.
Churchill High School in Potomac was also experiencing low turnout around the 8 a.m. hour.
Dr. Gilberto Zelaya from the Board of Elections told MCM that less than 3% of the voters participated during the early voting process.
The poll centers will be open until 8 p.m. For more information and updates, visit the Board of Elections website.
