Montgomery County Police arrested Michael MacCrae Shannon, 35, after two officers were injured during an incident Monday night.
Police responded to a report of a person in distress at 11:43 p.m. in the 7900 block of Otter Cove Court. When officers arrived, Shannon became aggressive and attacked them according to police.
One officer sustained a serious injury and was taken to a hospital but is expected to recover per police.
Shannon was evaluated by Montgomery County Fire Rescue (MCFRS) and later transported to the Central Processing Unit after being medically cleared.
He is being held without bond and faces charges of second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, and intoxicated endangerment.
