A man died in a motorcycle collision in Wheaton on Sunday according to Montgomery County police.
Officers in the Wheaton District, Maryland National Capital Park Police, and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel were dispatched to the scene on Randolph Road and Lindell Street a little after 3:30 p.m. on Sunday responding to reports of a “single-motorcycle personal injury collision.”

Police identified the man who died at the scene as 51-year old Luis Edmundo Villeda of Silver Spring.
Detectives from MCPD’s Collision Reconstruction Unit say he was riding a 2018 KTM Duke 390 motorcycle westbound on Randolph Road when he suddenly lost control and was ejected. It’s unclear why Villeda lost control of the motorcycle.
