A man is facing charges after police say he struck a family of six that was walking on a sidewalk in Gaithersburg over the weekend.
Officers say it happened near N. Summit Avenue on Goshen Road and Girard Street on Saturday shortly before 8:00 p.m.
An investigation revealed that a vehicle lost control after turning onto N. Summit Avenue from Odendhal Avenue before striking six pedestrians, including several children, standing near a crosswalk. The family was evaluated and taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Gaithersburg Police.
