Montgomery County Police identified the victim in Saturday’s fatal shooting as Kymani Elijah Bailey, 21, of Baltimore.
Bailey was fatally shot on the first level of a county parking garage in the 900 block of Silver Spring Avenue in Silver Spring at 2:40 a.m. He was in the garage after leaving a nearby restaurant when an unknown suspect approached him and began shooting, according to police.

A shooting in Downtown Silver Spring ended the life of an adult male Saturday morning at 2:40 a.m.
Montgomery County Emergency Communications received multiple calls of shots being fired inside the Public Park Garage near Thayer and Silver Spring avenues. When police arrived, they saw a man on the first level of the garage suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide.
Police will release the name of the victim following notification of his relatives.
