Update: Montgomery County Police continue to investigate a body found in Germantown on Sunday.
Police responded to a report Sunday evening at about 6:20 p.m. of an injured person in the field behind the Germantown Extended Stay Hotel, according to a press release. Officers located a deceased man with trauma; the body was transported to the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore to determine the cause of death, police say.
The investigation continues and police ask anyone with information to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. Montgomery County Police have launched an investigation about a body found in Germantown on Sunday.
The body was found at 6:30 p.m. in the 12500 block of Milestone Center Drive, according to authorities.
Police said the body appeared to be that of an adult male. Authorities have not released any details on the victim’s identity or cause of death.
