Police said a man was struck by a train at the Forest Glen Metro Station on Friday.
According to the Metro Transit Police Department, the man appears to have intentionally put himself in the train’s path, based on video. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
He was struck by the Red Line train before noon. Metro Transit Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service were on the scene.
Red Line trains were single tracking between the Silver Spring and Forest Glen stations due to investigation, but normal service has since resumed at Forest Glen.
