Friday, March 29

Glow in the Park: The event at the Adventure Park in Sandy Spring features a night of climbing and ziplining under the neon colored lights while listening to music throughout the park Friday from 6 to 11 p.m. with the last start time of 8:20 p.m. The park includes 16 courses made up of bridges, ziplines, ladders, rolling elements and unique climbing challenges. The park is open Fridays through Sundays with varying hours. Admission fee varies. Purchase tickets for Friday’s Glow in the Park here. The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring Friends School is located at 16701 Norwood Road in Sandy Spring.

Spring Break for History: The Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park has extended spring break hours through Saturday, with the Woodlawn Museum open Thursday, March 28 – 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Guided Hikes of the Underground Railroad Experience Trail will be offered March 29 and 30 with advanced registration encouraged. Visit WoodlawnManor.org to register. Bunnyland at Butler’s Orchard: Butler’s Orchard has offered locally grown produce and family fun for more than 40 years. The annual Bunnyland festivities feature an egg hunt, goodie baskets, giant slides, jump pads, farm animals, pedal tractors, a hayride and more this weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Monday (closed Sunday). Admission is $15 per person when purchased online here or $18 at the gate. Butler’s Orchard is located in Germantown at 22222 Davis Mill Road.

 

Saturday, March 30

Annual Spring Carnival: The Neighborhood Church in Rockville hosts their annual Spring Carnival Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. The free event includes the Easter Bunny, a petting zoo, moon bounce, prizes, crafts and refreshments. The Neighborhood Church is located at 16501 Redland Road in Rockville.

Easter Egg Hunt & Roll: The Village at Rockville’s annual Easter Egg Hunt & Roll takes place Saturday, March 30 from 1-3 p.m. All are welcome at the event which features, goody bags, Easter eggs, cotton candy, crafts, a photo station, and live music. Free, please RSVP online here. The Village at Rockville is a Continuing Care Retirement Community located in Rockville at 9701 Veirs Drive.

Fire Fighter Family Storytime and Fire Safety Demo: A storytime experience for children and their adults on Saturday, March 30 at 10:30 a.m. at the Kensington Park Library. The session is designed to introduce children to the culture of reading with books, songs, rhymes and fun activities. Free. Following the storytime, staff from the Kensington Volunteer Fire Department will conduct a fire safety lesson and fire truck tour. Free. Sunday, March 31

Brunch with the Easter Bunny: The Crossvines will host a special brunch Sunday, March 31 with the Easter Bunny from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 240.771.0769 for reservations. The Crossvines is located on 380 acres in Poolesville at 16601 W. Willard Road. The menu may be viewed here.

Cherry Blossom Ebike Tour: Pedego, a California-based electric bike company, leads cherry blossom tours departing locally from Bethesda and ending at Washington’s Tidal Basin. The tours start along the Capital Crescent Trail and end near the Jefferson Memorial in Washington. Tours are on weekends at 10:30 a.m. and cost $70 per bike and $20 for passenger riders on cargo or tandem bikes. Purchase tickets at Visit Montgomery here.
