Maryland Comptroller Brooke Lierman spent Friday in Montgomery County, getting feedback from business owners.
Lierman spent the day at Interfaith Works, Fitzgerald Auto, Novavax, Rockville Transit Oriented Development, Women’s Business Center Incubator and the Urban Winery. She also met with members of the Wheaton-Kensington Chamber of Commerce.
Her last stop of the after was at the Urban Winery in Silver Spring, which opened in its current location on Stewart Avenue one year ago. Previously, it operated in a smaller building in Downtown Silver Spring.
Owners Damon and Georgia Callis use mostly Marland-grown grapes in their wine.
