Maryland Congressional Delegation Rallies Against DOGE

On Monday, members of the Maryland Congressional Delegation rallied in Baltimore outside the Social Security Administratio Building to protest the policies of the Department of Government Efficiency also known as DOGE.

In the last two weeks, members of the Maryland Delegation have protested the new administration’s actions against the United States Agency for International Development, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency and the Treasury Department.

Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen and his congressional colleagues pointed to the disruptions to the lives of all Americans if the policies of Project 2025 move forward.

Speakers at the rally included Van Hollen (D-MD), Senator Angela Alsobrooks (D-MD), Congressman Kweisi Mfume (D-MD), Congresswoman Sarah Elfreth (D-MD), President of Association of Federal Government Employees union Rich Couture, and former Governor and head of the Social Security Administration Martin O’Malley.
