Maryland’s secretary of the environment will join Montgomery County’s upcoming Energy Summit.
Serena McIlwain, who’s been in the role since March of 2023, will deliver the keynote address at the event on April 16. Her speech will focus on the state’s Climate Pollution Reduction plan and emphasize partnership between businesses and the government on climate.
“Maryland’s Climate Pollution Reduction plan requires our state to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 60 percent by 2031 and achieve net zero emissions by 2045,” said McIlwain. “I am excited to attend the Montgomery County Energy Summit to share insights from the state.”
Online registration for the event closes April 9. Learn more here.
