Across the United States, more than 99% of COVID-19-related deaths in June were among the unvaccinated, according to Dr. Anthony Fauci. Approximately 0.8% of deaths are vaccinated individuals.
As of July 4, 67.1% of U.S. adults received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 47.4% of the population is fully vaccinated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Although this number has continued to increase over the past few months, the country fell short of achieving President Joe Biden’s goal of having 70% of the population vaccinated by the Fourth of July.
