Update: Maryland State Police say the victim was driving a white Ford F-350 pickup and was shot in the torso.
Maryland State Police (MSP) are seeking dash cam footage from motorists after a man was injured in a shooting incident early Sunday morning in Montgomery County.
The incident happened shortly before 12:30 a.m., when police and medics were called to the outer loop of I-495 near New Hampshire Avenue.
Troopers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, which he sustained during a “ roadway encounter,” according to MSP. The victim is currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries.
Investigators are asking anyone with dash cam footage who was traveling on the outer loop of I-495 between midnight and 12:20 a.m. on Sunday to contact them at 410-528-1887. Callers can remain anonymous.
