Gov. Wes Moore called Vice President Kamala Harris “the right one to lead us in this moment” as he addressed an enthusiastic crowd at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago Wednesday night.
“The unevenness of the American journey has made some skeptical. I’m not asking you to give up your skepticism. I just want that skepticism to be your companion, and not your captor – and I’m asking that you join us in the work,” Moore said.
U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin spoke at the convention earlier in the week, reminding attendees of some of former President Donald Trump’s actions and plans.
“Are we going to go back to the days of elections suppression and violent insurrection?” he asked. His remarks were met with a resounding, “We are not going back.”
Prince George’s Executive Angela Alsobrook, who is running for U.S. Senator against former Gov. Larry Hogan, called Harris a friend and a mentor.
75 days and a wake up to elect @KamalaHarris as the next President of the United States.

Kamala Harris knows how to keep criminals off the streets.
Come November, with your help, she will keep one out of the Oval Office. pic.twitter.com/NwkdW6WNCU

I'm so proud of my friend and Congressman, @RepRaskin! He speaks truth with both facts and humor. Let's make every vote count. And let's make sure that every vote is counted! #NotGoingBack #DNC2024 pic.twitter.com/9WjwHmPvEz
