The Montgomery County Council proclaimed Friday, Oct. 20 as Community Media Day. Council president Evan Glass made the announcement at MCM studios in Rockville Friday morning presenting the proclamation to MCM CEO Jasmine White. Councilmember Dawn Luedtke and several MCM Board members were in attendance.

Following the proclamation, Glass, Executive Director of the Friends of the Library Montgomery County Ari Brooks and president and CEO of the Alliance for Community Media Mike Wassenaar took part in a panel discussion on free speech and community media moderated by White.
