Registration is now open for the Montgomery County Police Department’s next Hispanic Community Academy.
The program helps MCPD connect with the county’s large Hispanic community. Participants will learn about police department policies, procedures and investigations.
The free program starts on Sept. 6 and lasts 13 weeks. Meetings will be held every Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Public Safety Training Academy (8751 Snouffer School Road, Montgomery Village, MD 20879).
Three sessions of the Hispanic Community Academy are offered each year. This fall will be the program’s 15th session since its start in 2016.
Learn more and register for the academy here. Any adult who lives or works in Montgomery County can be part of the program, regardless of immigration status. The class will be limited to 40 students and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
