Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) ranked 220 out of the 250 most sought-after school districts in the U.S., according to a recently released survey.
The ranking was done by Test Prep Insight, a test prep company that surveyed 3,000 parents across the country. Survey respondents were asked what school district they would send their children to, if given the choice.
There are more than 90,000 public schools across the United States, according to the U.S. Department of Education.
Other Maryland school districts that made the list include Anne Arundel County Public School which ranked 40th, Frederick County Public Schools ranked 170, Howard County Public Schools came in at 171 and Carroll County Public Schools at 194.
U.S. News & World Report ranked all of 25 of MCPS’ high schools in its 2023 Best High Schools List.
