Original Post (5 a.m.): Montgomery County Public Schools will open two hours late Monday, December 16, 2019 due to emergency weather conditions in various parts of the county. Officials say Administrative offices will open on time. MCPS will continue to monitor the situation to ensure conditions are safe for students and staff. If closure is needed, an announcement will be made by 7 a.m.
Bus service will be provided on a two-hour-delayed schedule. Morning prekindergarten, morning half-day Head Start, other morning half-day programs and field trips are canceled. Other activities and programs that begin at 10:50 a.m. or earlier are canceled. Childcare programs may open as scheduled.
