MCPS Announces Commencement Schedules and Guest Speakers

Nearly 12,000 Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) students will receive high school diplomas in commencement ceremonies beginning next week.

The high school commencement season begins Wednesday, May 31, and will end Thursday, June 15.

Graduation ceremonies are hosted at high school campuses, at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., and on the campuses of Mount St. Mary’s University and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

In total, 25 high schools and 6 programs will have graduation ceremonies this spring. Once again, MCPS is inviting families to tag the district in their favorite 2023 graduation snapshots with the hashtag #MCPSGrad. MCPS will repost some of the photos on its Twittter, Facebook and Instagram page.

Some of the speakers featured at this year’s commencement ceremonies include actor Myles Frost, Maryland Lt. Gov. Aruna Miller and television producer George Pelecanos.
