MCPS Announces Community Meetings to Learn About the 2026 Budget Process

The Montgomery County Board of Education invites residents to learn about the 2026 MCPS budget process through upcoming community meetings.

The meetings will explain the operating budget and how it reflects district priorities. Board President Julie Yang and Superintendent Dr. Thomas Taylor will lead the sessions.

Each meeting begins with a brief presentation, followed by a Q&A session where attendees can ask questions and share input directly with school leaders.

Community Meeting Schedule:

  • Wednesday, Jan. 22 – 6:30-8:00 p.m. | Seneca Valley High School
  • Tuesday, Jan. 28 – 6:30-8:00 p.m. | Paint Branch High School
  • Thursday, Jan. 30 – 6:30-8:00 p.m. | Virtual Meeting
