Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) held their inaugural Latina Legacy Conference on Friday.
The conference, which was attended by more than 300 students, aimed to empower the next generation of Latinas.
In the future, conference organizers say they plan to also include Latina students in elementary and middle school.
