The Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) school board is set to appoint a superintendent on Tuesday, according to meeting documents.
A “conditional appointment of the superintendent of schools” is scheduled following the opening of the meeting at 9 a.m. It will be livestreamed on YouTube.
Dr. Monifa McKnight has been Interim Superintendent since June 1, 2021 after then-Superintendent Dr. Jack Smith retired for family reasons. McKnight was previously deputy superintendent.
