MCPS to Hold Public Information Meetings on School Boundary Studies

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will hold public information meetings on boundary studies for three high schools. The studies aim to address overcrowding and plan for new school facilities, focusing on reopening Charles W. Woodward High School, opening Crown High School, and expanding Damascus High School.

Boundary Study for Reopening Charles W. Woodward High School

  • Virtual Session: April 2, from 6-8 p.m. (The session will be recorded and available online.)
  • In-Person Session: April 8, from 6-8 p.m. at Walter Johnson High School.

Boundary Study for Opening Crown High School & Expanding Damascus High School

  • Virtual Session: April 7, from 6-8 p.m. (The session will be recorded and available online at this meeting link.)
  • In-Person Session: April 9, from 6-8 p.m. at Gaithersburg High School.

The meetings will provide details on the scope, timeline, and process of the studies. MCPS will also explain how the studies align with Board of Education policies and how the public can stay engaged.
