Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will host a job fair Wednesday, Sept. 7 at the Student Services Building on Montgomery College’s Rockville campus. The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
MCPS is currently hiring paraeducators, building service workers, food services, transportation, clerical, security, teachers, and counselors.
As of Monday, the school system had the following openings:
- about 159 teacher vacancies
- 32 bus driver vacancies
- a little more than 400 overall support vacancies
“We have not been able to achieve any of our success independently this year as a school system,” MCPS Superintendent Dr. Monifa McKnight said at press conference on Monday. “The strongest benefit we found this year in our recruitment strategy is not doing it alone.”
