Montgomery County Public Schools will be hosting a virtual Pride Town Hall on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The goal is to reconnect MCPS LGBTQ+ youth, families, and the local community during the COVID-19 health crisis. The webinar will include remarks from community leaders and organizations that will provide a variety of resources for families and students.
MyMCMedia spoke with MCPS Student Welfare and Compliance Unit Director Greg Edmundson to get more details.
Representatives from the following organizations will be available to answer questions from participants during the webinar:
- The Family Justice Center
- Casa Ruby
- The Montgomery County Council of Parent Teacher Associations (MCCPTA)
- MoCo Pride Center
- MoCo PrideStudent Organization
- PFLAG and SMYAL
- GLSEN
