New York Times best-selling author, Jeff Pearlman, will present his latest book on Saturday, May 20 at the Gaithersburg Book Festival. Pearlman is one of more than 130 authors coming to the annual festival.
Pearlman’s book, “The Last Folk Hero: The Life and Myth of Bo Jackson” is a biography of sports legend Bo Jackson who was the first athlete to simultaneously star in two major professional sports. Jackson captiated audiences on the television, in magazines, and on billboards and almost as quickly, he was gone from the spotlight.
Here is Mayor Jud Ashman with a short review of Pearlman’s “The Last Folk Hero.”
Pearlman presents at 12:15 p.m. in the Rachel Carson Pavilion and will be signing books at 1:15 p.m.
The Gaithersburg Book Festival website has a master schedule of author presentations, workshops, book signings and more.
The Gaithersburg Book Festival takes place Saturday, May 20 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Bohrer Park, 506 S. Frederick Avenue. The festival is free to attend with numerous options for parking.
