First Lady Melania Trump will visit The Children’s Inn at NIH in Bethesda on Friday for Valentine’s Day.
The Inn serves as “a place like home” for children with serious illnesses and rare diseases. Families from around the world stay at The Inn to participate in clinical trials at the National Institutes of Health.
It’s the third year that Trump is visiting The Inn for Valentine’s Day. She’ll be greeted by The Inn’s CEO Jennie Lucca, Inn board vice chair Susan Penfield, and NIH Director Francis Collins.

Lucca said in a statement that it’s an honor to host Trump once again.
“We’ve come to look forward to her visit every year. Mrs. Trump brings a delightful experience for our families and awareness to the much-needed medical research happening here at the NIH,” Lucca said.
During her visit to the Inn, Trump will meet with patients and will participate in Valentine’s Day activities that include making cards and decorating cookies.
The Inn will live stream Melania’s visit on its Facebook page from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday.
