The Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD) is set to host its second annual Back-to-School Bash on Saturday, August 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fort Totten Metro Station parking lot. This event offers students and families a fun-filled day to celebrate the start of the new school year.

This year’s bash features a range of activities and giveaways. Attendees can look forward to free school supplies, kids’ haircuts, and glamorous makeovers at the event’s glam station. The day will also include live music from a DJ, games, complimentary food and desserts, a petting zoo, and even miniature train rides.

Metro employees from across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia have come together to collect school supplies for students of all ages. Whether you’re starting elementary school or preparing for your final year of high school, this event has something for everyone.
