Unlike previous players spotlighted for the MoCo March Madness series, Jared Bynum was not the typical national recruit. The Providence guard and former Georgetown Prep star made a few detours on his road to the Big Dance.
Bynum graduated from Georgetown Prep in 2018. That’s the year he was named the Interstate Athletic Conference Player of the Year. He began his college career at St. Joseph’s where he led his team in assists and was third in scoring his freshman year. The next year he transferred to Providence. On Thursday at 12:40 pm, he will take the floor against Providence’s opponent South Dakota State.
