Montgomery Connects Continues to Offer Free Computers

Montgomery Connects continues to offer free Chromebooks to low-income residents, aged 7 and older, without access to a computer.

Residents must make an appointment to receive a computer, and prior recipients from the County are not eligible. A Montgomery County library card number, email address, and phone number are required for registration.

To register, residents must complete an Eventbrite form, providing necessary information and answering all 23 questions. Each person, including children, must make an individual appointment and appear in person with a photo ID. If the ID does not have the current address, additional proof of address is required.

Ensure all required questions are answered to avoid appointment delays. If the form is incomplete, Eventbrite will email you.

Appointments are available throughout July at various locations in the county:

  • July 11 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Executive Office Building in Rockville
  • July 12 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Aspen Hill Library
  • July 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Silver Spring Library
