On Wednesday, Montgomery County Agricultural Fair announced the fair has been canceled this summer because of the coronavirus.

The fair is a popular tradition in Montgomery County, which attracts thousands of families every summer.
“In order to protect our volunteers, our exhibitors, the citizens of our community, and those who work at the Fair in a variety of different jobs, the Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair that was scheduled to occur from August 14-22, 2020,” a statement on the fair’s website says.
The statement adds that anyone who already purchased tickets can either receive a refund or save the tickets to use in 2021. The 2021 Montgomery County Agricultural Fair is scheduled for Aug. 13 to 21, with the theme of “9 Best Days of Summer.”
