Montgomery County COVID-19 Statistics
Tuesday morning the Maryland Department of Health reported 8,950 cases of COVID-19 in Montgomery County, which is an increase of 533 cases from the 8,417 reported Monday. This is the largest daily increase in cases since the first three cases were confirmed on March 4.
According to the health department, 465 county residents have died form COVID-19. This is an increase of 23 deaths since Monday. The number of probable deaths is 38.
There have been 1,936 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 294 deaths in Montgomery County nursing homes and assisted living facilities according to the Maryland Department of Health numbers released Wednesday, May 13. The numbers include staff and residents of the facilities. The health department releases new information on Wednesdays.

As of Tuesday morning, there were 41,546 confirmed cases throughout the state. That is an increase of 1,784 in the last 24 hours. This is the largest daily increase in confirmed cases since the first three cases on March 4.
There were 1,963 deaths, an increase of 60.
In Maryland, 7,199 people have been hospitalized since the outbreak of COVID-19.
Tuesday, 1,421 Marylanders are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, which is 26 fewer than Monday. Of the currently hospitalized patients, 537 are in intensive care. This is 18 fewer patients in ICU beds than Sunday.
A total of 12,454 cases and 815 deaths involve the state’s African American community. That is 23 additional deaths since Monday.
There have been 7,538 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 995 deaths in nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the state as of Wednesday, May 13. The number includes 5,329 cases and 983 deaths in residents. The health department releases data on Wednesdays.
