Each morning, the Maryland Department of Health releases the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state. The number of Montgomery County coronavirus cases increased to 388, according to the health departments statistics released Tuesday morning.
The cases in the County continue to climb as there were 255 cases on Saturday, which increased to 301 on Sunday and 341 on Monday.
As of Tuesday morning, there are 1,660 confirmed cases in Maryland, up from 1,413 on Monday. The state has seen an increase of 668 cases since Saturday.
The total number of deaths in Maryland due to COVID-19 is currently at 18, up from five Friday, March 27.
Governor Larry Hogan instructed all Marylanders to stay at home starting Monday at 8 p.m. The Governor’s executive order followed the death of 10 Marylanders since Friday.
Of the total Maryland cases, 429 were hospitalized at some point and 53 have been released from isolation. According to the Maryland Department of Health, 14,868 Marylanders tested negative for coronavirus.
