Montgomery Parks has launched its newest pop-up event called “Hope in Art.”
The event was created as a way to spread positive messages throughout the community during the hard times being presently faced. In order to participate, residents should submit their work to the Department’s website here.
According to guidelines posted to the Parks’ website, all forms of artwork or prose are accepted, but must be appropriate and original works. Submissions should “be positive, hopeful and should help strengthen and uplift our community.” The pieces chosen will be featured anonymously on the Parks’ website and social media pages, and will be posted on select park signs. The event is ongoing.
Hope in Art brings you inspirational messages in the parks during this difficult time.
Do you paint, draw, take photos, or write poetry? Consider submitting your positive works to uplift your friends, family, and neighbors.
