Montgomery County COVID-19 Statistics
Thursday morning the Maryland Department of Health reported 7,548 cases of COVID-19 in Montgomery County, which is a 3.64% increase the 7,283 cases reported Wednesday.
According to the health department, 397 county residents have died form COVID-19. This is a 2.85% increase of deaths since Wednesday. The number of probable deaths is 40.
There have been 1,936 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 294 deaths in Montgomery County nursing homes and assisted living facilities according to the Maryland Department of Health numbers released Wednesday. Nursing come case numbers are reported on a weekly basis.

Maryland COVID-19 Statistics
As of Thursday morning, there were 35,903 confirmed cases throughout the state. That is a 3.13% increase of cases in the last 24 hours. There were 1,748 deaths, which is a 3.19% increase.
In Maryland, 6,404 people have been hospitalized since the outbreak of COVID-19.
On Thursday, 1,538 Marylanders are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, which is a 0.77% decrease from Wednesday. Of the currently hospitalized patients, 569 are in intensive care. This is a 0.52% decrease of patients in ICU beds since Wednesday.
A total of 11,328 cases and 708 deaths involve the state’s African American community. That is a 2.4% increase in African Americans dying of coronavirus since Wednesday.
There have been 7,538 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 995 deaths in nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the state. This is a 21 percent increase in cases and a 26 percent increase in deaths since Wednesday, May 6. The number includes 5,329 cases and 983 deaths in residents.
