Parks Foundation Launches Fundraiser to Rebuild Playground After Fire

The Montgomery Parks Foundation has launched a fundraising campaign to rebuild the large playground at Greenbriar Local Park in Travilah after a devastating fire in early May caused an estimated $1 million in damage.

The foundation is calling on community members to donate and help offset the costs of rebuilding.

“We are hoping with the support of community members like you, we can help offset the costs,” the foundation stated on their website. “Please consider supporting Montgomery Parks as it endeavors to restore the playground to its former glory.”

Donations can be made via credit card or direct bank transfer. The foundation appreciates contributions of any size.

While the large playground remains closed, the small playground area and the rest of Greenbriar Local Park are still open.
