A jury found Jose Dimas Ordonez-Marquez, 33, of Montgomery Village, guilty Wednesday of second-degree rape.
He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and will be sentenced Sept. 4.
On June 19, 2021, Ordonez-Marquez hosted a gathering at his home on Queen Victoria Court for his birthday. According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, a guest was intoxicated and unconscious in a bedroom when Ordonez-Marquez entered and raped her.
According to the victim, she awoke to find Ordonez-Marquez atop her.
The victim’s husband, who is related to Ordonez-Marquez, entered the room and saw the defendant standing over his wife, according to the State’s Attorney’s Office.
The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance. There an examination linked the defendant to the assault.
