Westfield Wheaton and Westfield Montgomery in Bethesda will each host their inaugural Good Festival. The events will focus on environmental education and sustainable shopping.
Montgomery Mall’s festival, scheduled for May 4 from 9 a.m. through 6 p.m., will include a complimentary Fabletics workout class, giveaways, a Makers’ Market with local offerings of sustainable goods, clothing drive and a live DJ.
“The Westfield Good Festival is the perfect opportunity to support local makers and give back to our community while enjoying live entertainment and other activities,” said Zeina Davis, a marketing director at Westfield Montgomery.
Westfield Wheaton’s event will host Montgomery Parks and the Department of Environmental Protection, who will run booths. There will also be a raffle for sustainable gift baskets and an LED light bulb swap. The Wheaton festival is set for May 11 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
“Our collaboration with Montgomery Parks and the Department of Environmental Protection will provide valuable resources to our guests and emphasize the many ways we can collectively make a positive impact on the environment,” said Michael Lado, a marketing manager at Westfield Wheaton.
